So that was a very A Storm-y few days, the discovery of A B U and Reflexivity (which I haven’t written up properly yet but I’m soaking it in right now) and a bunch of writing/thinking about the implications
I made a slide deck to present at the Effective Altruism community where I live, re: ORI (here), and I haven’t done anything “A”-y since then (that is, I haven’t continued following the path of updating my world model)
On the one hand, I have a sense that A/B/U is the machinery I need to be able to think much more clearly about how to learn, what to learn, what my B floor is for stuff I care about, where to look for As, what things are Us that I don’t need right now, etc etc
On the other hand, man that was kind of dysregulating, and I’ve got a bunch of other stuff on
Yeah, on the one hand, I’d love to go hard on ORI stuff, on the other hand, I have a full time job, social life, I want to meditate more, I go to the gym, etc. So, there isn’t much time to like, chase the As, currently
